The Foundation Safety & Rescue Training Course (FSRT) provides paddlers with the skills needed to operate safely on sheltered water and to deal with common emergencies using simple and safe solutions.  The course gives the paddler the necessary skills to ensure the safety of themselves and others.  Along with the 2 Star Award it is a prerequisite award for entry to the BCU Coaching Scheme.  The skills and principles you will learn on this course provide the basis of all safety and rescue training throughout the BCU awards scheme.
